There was a woman who lived alone on a corner lot in a small village. She worked daily in her garden, planting flowers and decorative plants year around. Everyone in the village came by regularly to admire the beauty she co-created with the resources available. Once, her garden drew the attention of a news reporter, who stopped by and asked, "Why do you work so diligently in your garden?" She replied simply, "I just want to make my
little corner of the world a beautiful place."
You could see the beauty she created reflected in the eyes and faces of those who came to admire her garden. Finding the beauty she created brought out the beauty in all those who took the time to stop and admire the bounty.
When you seek beauty, make beauty and find beauty, you are opening the most beautiful aspects of your good heart and soul. Look around you all of the time, practicing the mindfulness of noticing and deeply appreciating the beauty. It is always there.
Set your intention as you start each new day to find and focus on the beauty within and all around you, all day long.
