| The Power Of Creativity & Play
|
Play is the communication of the child. Then we learn to communicate with language and logic, and play and creativity begin to subside. Yet, as we're getting smarter about life, laughter and living well, we're also learning that we need to keep that child spirit of playfulness and creativity alive! Then we can receive the blessing of Bob Dylan's lyrics, "May your heart always be joyful, may your song always be sung. May you stay
forever young."
Increase the play and creativity in your life in these ways:
- Value your imagination as the creative mechanism of your brilliant mind.
- Begin each day by imagining yourself smiling, being lighthearted and playful.
- Find time to play with the children, dogs and cats in your life...they are masters of play, so let them lead and be their follower.
- Play your favorite music as often as possible during your day.
- Put a little hop, skip or jump into your walk, and get over the fear of embarrassment, like this guy.
- Get a coloring book, or a paint-by-numbers kit, or any playful creativity project, and spend time on it every day.
- Reawaken that brilliant, creative child within you, and keep her/him alive!
Put play in every day. Make up your brilliant mind to find ways to energize the child within, and lighten up your life!
