| What Is Your Mental Diet?
|
Your mental diet has a greater impact on your health and happiness than your physical diet. What you read, listen to, talk about and think about needs to be a healthy balance of enriching, informative, uplifting and encouraging content for your body/mind organism to thrive and flourish. If you allow the sensation-based information
sources (mainstream media) to dominate your mental diet, you may find yourself too worried, frustrated or anxious too much of the time.
Is this denial? Are you hiding your head in the sand by focusing primarily on the positive? No...because there is truly more good than bad, right than wrong, working than broken in this magnificent, diverse, every evolving world of ours. And, things just keep getting better for everyone. In this 4 minute video (below), statistician Hans Rosling shows the progress of 200 countries in 200 years, to show how well we're
doing. Watch this video...it's very entertaining, informative and encouraging!
So, be optimistic about yourself and your world!
Your body/mind is always listening, and when you are looking forward to good things, you're sending a message to your entire organism to keep everything working well, so that you'll be there to enjoy all of those good things you're looking forward to.
