In the first part of life, your questions are, "Am I safe, am I loved, and how do I avoid pain and find pleasure?" These questions involve an outer focus on the world around you, and can lead to victimhood &
codependency.
In the second part of life, you start asking different questions, that will take you much farther. These questions give you responsibility and freedom to take charge of your life.
As a regular practice in your journaling, ask and answer these questions for yourself:
- Who am I?
- What am I doing?
- What am I
contributing?
Be as kind and generous with yourself as you possibly can...this is an exercise for expansion, not self-criticism. These are the questions that carry you to the meaning and purpose of your life, and you deserve your own encouragement.
Respond to the questions as if you were your best friend, or someone who loves you unconditionally...that's how you will get to the deepest truth,
always.
