| The Beauty & Power Of Laughter
|
Laughter and
happiness make you smarter, and they also are an indication of intelligence! No, really...it's true and well grounded in research.
Being serious, worried and pessimistic actually requires less brain activity, and
relies on lower brain functions that govern the fight or flight reflex. If this matters to you, make up your mind to regularly and consistently look on the bright side of things, and find as many ways to giggle, chuckle, snicker and guffaw as you possibly
can! And beauty and power are just part of benefit of laughter! I've built an entire web page focusing on how laughter is the best medicine for your body, mind and spirit. Remember, this will have to be intentional, until it becomes automatic. And just like physical exercise, the more you do it, the easier it gets.
It's easy to find something to make you smile, to lift your spirits and even bring
some laughter, but you've got to decide to look for it as part of your Goodfinding practice. It won't necessarily jump out at you like the scary negative news does.
So, all you have to gain from intentionally, deliberately and consistently seeking humor
and heart-warming stories, jokes and videos is greater health, better memory and more mental clarity as you live a longer and happier life. Plus, you'll have more fun along the way!
