Love is there at your birth, and it will be there when you draw your last breath. It is the beginning and end, and you have the opportunity to fill in the middle with as much love as possible. Love defines us. It is the underlying golden thread that connects the pieces of our sometimes fragmented lives. It is the need to love and be loved that drives most of human behavior. Look for love, find love, express love, be love.
There are two ways that experiencing and expressing love are good for you:
- It's good for your heart. Expressing love and appreciation helps your heart (the organ beating faithfully in your chest) to function more smoothly and coherently. And of course it contributes to the love in your relationships and the world.
- Love is who you are at the core of your being. So, when you feel, focus on and express love, you are connecting with your deep, inner, authentic nature.
